Camping Michelangelo -- Florence, Italy
"You can find us right next to the Piazzale Michelangelo overlooking the old city centre of Florence. We are easy to reach by car, camper or bus and we are open all year round.
Our location is an excellent starting point for visiting the city centre. From here it takes only 15 minutes to get to the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) by foot. Or if you prefer buses, the numbers 12 and 13 pass our campsite every 10 minutes.
The geographical position of Camping Michelangelo is also a perfect starting point for visiting the lesser-known corners of Florence which are off the normal tourist routes but which are of no less historic or artistic interest. Our campsite is on a hill side full of olive trees and offers shady pitches with grassy ground and a beautiful view over Florence, all with electricity points and easy access. We also offer our clients cheap accomodation in two person housetents, all equiped with real beds, pillows and blankets. You can rent these tents all for yourself or just hire one bedplace in them (mixdorm).
The campsite itself contains a snack-bar with a lovely terrace overlooking the city, an Internet Point, a playground for children, a well-stocked supermarket open everyday, restaurant & pizzeria, ATM machine and we also provide laundry facilities. The toilet and shower blocks are all heated and have free warm water. We accept bookings for groups (min. 20 persons) and offer bus parking facilites. During the winter we offer special package holidays containing guided tours to the city and museums, visits to exhibitions, special Christmas lunch, Renaissance dinner at the Palace Borghese and much more, all upon booking."
"5/5 Campground Review First, this campground is only 20 miles north of Lisbon in an area surrounded by wine farms; second, the bar-restaurant is not expensive and very functional; third, the campsites are great with everything needed for caravans or RV, plus two swimming pools, childrens' playground, and bungalows. "
Campeggio Ai Bosconi Caslano -- Switzerland (takes a while to load)
The CAMPEGGIO AI BOSCONI is located a few steps from the village of Caslano and the lakeside of Lake Lugano. The campsite has electricity, a room with refrigerators, and gives the possibility to rent mobile homes and rooms. Our guests can also have free access to the nearby (2 minutes walk) public beach (www.lidodicaslano.ch), where it is possible to rent pedalos.
Caslano lies in the region Malcantone, a very special area: the landscape, the climate, the richness of water and the wonderful hills and mountains make of this region the perfect place where to spend your holidays.
Monte Lema, higher than 1600 m, the many paths (the Chestnut path, the Water path, the path of Marvels, the Men Track path, the Sundial path etc.) and the Malcantone Museum are only a few of the attractions you can find in this region.
If you want to spend pleasant evenings tasting typical wines(like Merlot), typical spirits (like Grappa and Nocino) and the Ticinese Budget Hotels, you can go to the many “grotti”, which are little restaurants usually situated in the woods or in fresh places.
Haller Camping -- Budapest (takes a while to load)
"My friends and I were in Camping Haller, Budapest last July. It is a good place, even for a longer time. It is situated really very close to the centre of the city. The tram stops in front of it, one of the 3 underground lines is 10 minutes from there on foot. Right next to it, there is a simple market. About 500 metres from there, you can find a huge shopping centre with everything. The receptionists can speak both English and German.
The camp site is shady and looks like a park with really huge trees. Everyone can stand where he or she wants, there are no exact pitches at all. The bathrooms are a bit old fashioned but cleaned two times each day. Finally, we stayed longer than we planned. Compared with other accommodations in the capital, the prices are low and the 4th night is gratis there. It is a must for visiting the city."
